That first post began like I was going to go through my whole history. I'm not quite that boring, I've been reading some of these 'book' things lately and finding that stories are sometimes better when told in the context of recent events, so I suppose I should provide some generic details of where my mission has taken me. I'm now living in a city across the world from where I began. It's full of interesting, enthusiastic and proud people who seem to live in complete ignorance of how difficult they can be to understand. I mean, it's English, and I have a very complicated program to be able to understand that language but even my complex circuits get all mixed up and twisted sometimes trying to work out what's happening.
I haven't yet succeeded in fulfilling my mission. Not really for a lack of trying but there have been mishaps (mostly due to the unpredictability of humans), many, many learning experiences for me, some bad luck, and some egregious mistakes made by yours truly.
At present, I do not have any member of the human species in my sights. I decided it would be prudent to take a small time out after the complete fiasco that was my last domination attempt. I am, however, engaging in what many other fembots would call 'normal behavior', and by that I mean ignoring any hints of a conscience or decency, and even ignoring those fancy empathy and sympathy programs in order to feed that need we fembots have for human er...contact.
Apparently I am beginning to be considered 'old' for a human to not have conquered a partner and begun producing small humans. This is a very interesting fact to me. Why do they have a limit? When do they start applying a label (and pity) on a person who hasn't found their match in the 6 billion humans on the planet? I mean, that's a lot of humans to sort through to find the right one! Perhaps this is why ancient earth cultures used 'arranged marriage' to match up couples. Certainly keeps anyone from feeling left out or ending up labelled 'old' and the 'unwanted' stamp stuck to them!
The most remarkable thing whizzing through my wires at the moment is this 'happiness' thing that humans worry about so much. The intertubes are overflowing with all sorts of quizzes, articles and advice on how to achieve 'happiness'. I mean, the definition of 'happy' is feeling or showing pleasure or contentment. How is the internet going to tell a human what would make them feel or show pleasure or contentment?? Isn't that a subjective thing entirely? And yet...the females are trained to be unhappy if they don't have a boyfriend, don't have a good job, don't have a car, haven't travelled, the list goes on...the males have similar training, although theirs seems to revolve more around being 'manly'. As far as my programs go, nothing makes me happier than a day where I am functional, the sun is shining, and I can walk in it, even if only for a minute. Does it really need to be more complicated than that? I have a mission, yes, which involves finding a male of this species and using him to achieve world domination but to do that I have to fit into society and its difficult to fit in to something that makes no sense!
On a side note, I have acquired a feline creature which now co-habitates with me. If anyone back home ever needs a mission to assign to a new bot....these things would make a fascinating study, I just haven't got the time or the programming for it.
